If someone does not find the idea behind a "promised land " in this book, no wonder they find it boring and with no content (referring to those 1 stars reviews). Obama is clearly deeply aware of the chance to deliver towards that objectives as a president and describes in a reasonable depth the journey including failings. Perhaps too human & lyrical a read for some. Not Obama's problem though because this obviously didn't mean to be a "burned identity" action emptynes in any way.
