Fantastic film, greatly overlooked today. This movie is all about becoming a man, something a lot of kids today need to learn. Watched it with my teenage son last week, and we found a lot of things to love about it: the dialogue, the characters, the music, but mostly the refreshing way that it presents positive male role models teaching the protagonist life lessons about being a man: taking responsibility, honoring your family's legacy, making the most of your opportunities, defending a woman's honor. You know, exactly the opposite of how "modern" films portray father figures.
