Do not listen to the negative reviews... If you love Westerns you will love this movie!!! It will become a cult classic there's no way it can't be... Has one of the most real battle scenes between the first settlers and natives that I have not seen in any other movie... I was nailed to my seat the whole time... No other western depicts the struggles our ancestors went thru when they came west. And it shows both sides and different perspectives which you never see in a western... Your not just rooting for the typical white man here... I really hope Costner gets to make the sequels !
