I too saw this film when I was a preteen and later saw it a few more times on TV and eventually on YouTube. With every viewing I was more impressed with the story, the performances and the production quality. In my most recent viewing I just couldn't understand why it has not become a "Classic". Tom Tryon was more than excellent in the lead and among other standout performances were too many to list. I am so grateful to have found it again after all these years.
