Like so many comedies before and after, this "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (2008) spin-off has some scenes here and there that drag on for too long and make the fun become a little bit too awkward at times, but the pacing is good overall. The plot focuses more on deuteragonist Aldous Snow (Russell Brand's character) far more than it does, or should do, on its main character, Aaron Green (Jonah Hill's character); so his resolution may feel undercooked and rushed a bit, having a half-done character development. Yet it somehow works. The chemistry between Hill and Brand feels extremely genuine, in great part due to Russell Brand's eccentric performance. Supporting cast is also pretty good, consisting mainly on celebrity cameos. Special nodes to Sean Combs, Elisabeth Moss and Rose Byrne for their roles; the music is pretty excellent, too. Definitely not the best in Nicholas Stoller's filmography, but a decent entry nonetheless. A joyous road trip adventure filled with drugs, sex and rock & roll, that anyone looking to spend some time watching something fun can enjoy throughout.
