I hope the person who thought of Fellow Travelers wasn't gay, because if they are, they will have to live the rest of their life in shame for the disgraceful, condescending, fabricated history of their own gay forbears during the period between 1954 and the AIDS epidemic. Who could ever have thought that reducing the decades-long struggle for gay rights to a handful of buff sex scenes interspersed with some pseudo-political history vaguely connected to McCarthyism was a good idea? I would hope the creator was merely a narcissistic Gen Z member without a connection either to history or to the gay struggle. That would at least place this meaningless series where it belongs in the dustbin of entertainment history. If the creator boasts different memberships, then I suggest that it would take years of psychotherapy to help them feel a part of the world as it actually is, as well as to acknowledge their own lack of talent in their chosen profession.
