Really engrossing and a fun read. I usually find NZ fiction too literary try-hard and painful to read, like it has to be high brow to get published here and it usually interferes with the actual story, which is the most important part. This was well written as well as suspenseful and entertaining. I'd recommend it if you like something a bit different.
