What gay is all about... This is the stuff they want everyone to accept. 5 minutes in and I was begging for a Jardiance commercial!

Voyagers is a blatant retelling of "The Lord of the Flies". The story is precisely the same, except without the burden of originality. Only this time, for the sake of those who never read the original, the setting is interplanetary space. It struck me as an homage to unfettered banality. What it lacks in originality is complimented by the insipid premise of sending a horde of juveniles to a distant planet that may (or may not) be hospitable to humans, and may (or may not) be inhabited already. I love a good futuristic space opera, but suspect Voyagers will set Science Fiction genre back by multiple decades. At least it avoided the temptation to litter the movie with a cavalcade of special effects to compensate for an uninspired story line.

I got through half the film and had to run off on a job. My impression, without.yet seeing the 2nd half, is this rates 5 yawns. Someone else referred to the movie as 'somewhat boring'. I disagree. It is hugely.boring, to the point of tedium. The story plods along for yhe most part, with a cast that act like they really difnt want to come to work. There was a marvelous lack of enthusiasm, rendered without passion, with wooden, stilted performances from everyone in the cast. Im old enough to remember those days. This aint how they were.
