How To Play

if someone who never watched or knows the originals this probably feels very mediocre. imma talk just on the opening episode, because i feel it did so many things wrong. i know this isnt a copy of the show which is fine, but why reveal the whole plot in the first 20 minutes and why give us no time to connect with the characters? it feels like everything is being rushed as fast as possible. thats to my first point, if you never knew the original you would probably feel no connection to these characters. every scene is just for plot very rarely just showing a world. take the opening, i dont think its necessarily bad to show the air temple first. but they gave us no time with aang. it was all story and plot, no time to see him hanging with his friends and his character traits. thats basically the whole episode, they really needed to let us spend more time with these characters just doing their thing
