Rotten Tomatoes has a rating that reflects the movie. Good acting and great visuals with an interesting but predictable premise. Paradoxically It tries to “do something different” but is a reboot…drawing on influences and cliché from other franchises this really ought not to have been part of the “PA” franchise but a standalone “new film” which would’ve have made this more palatable. Upon reflection the entire plot with the literal ‘paranormal activity’ taking place in the house makes no sense upon the revelation that Sarah is trapped underground inhabited by Asmodeus, kept there by the family in order to keep the world safe. So what was the entity presenting itself in the house?
