I first watched the original Happy Gilmore as a child about twenty years ago, and it was an easy childhood favorite. I was hesitant to press play on this sequel, thinking it could be full of unfunny reiterations of the same gags and plot points. I was pleasantly surprised! I laughed plenty, and while the plot and humor were both true to the original, this film had a fresh and modern take to offer.
