Linkin Park's new album "From Zero" review:
Overall I really enjoy this album. Many of the songs seem cloned straight from Hybrid Theory/Meteora nu-metal vibes and that's going to be please mainstream fans. If you're a true fan you'll hear pieces of The Hunting Party, Minutes to Midnight and LIVING THINGS. They've taken all their different eras, iconic style and different sounds through the years and condensed them into a fresh but also somehow nostalgic collection. There's something for everyone and that's what Linkin Park's varied sound has always been about. No one was ever going to replace Chester but their new singer, Emily, comes surprisingly close. Perfection? No, but I'd say it already ranks among their better albums and it's a solid reboot. If you're even remotely a fan, please give it a try with an open mind. 8.5/10
I think Heavy is the Crown and Two-Faced are going to be new Linkin Park classics. The most underrated song on the album is IGYEIH (I gave you everything I have) or maybe Stained. Casualty is my least favorite track. It's hard for the sake of being hard and doesn't quite land with me.
