Sets capture the 1890s NYC in beautiful way.
Characters and portrayals are sharp and grow. Very funny lines in several characters. The story lines grow on the viewer as it is a gradual set of circumstances and quick resolutions which is favorable.
Although, the seemingly forced need of a homosexual affair in almost every program becomes boring and unpredictable weight on the script.
