This book is NOT age appropriate for the age group it claims to be from; 9-12 year olds. It throws 'trans' in there and doesn't truly define it. It's gender identity, identifying as a dog, just random stuff thrown into this book and it can confuse kids. Also, a boy and a girl spent the night together and the girl told him she's trans and they kissed.. a character identifies as a dog.. If you're OK with your young child reading this then proceed, but don't if it doesn't align with your beliefs.
