I have never described a movie like this before but this movie had heart. It clearly was made by someone who loves superman and wanted you to love superman. Yes it was silly, the influence of the silver age of comics was obvious but it never felt weird. Every performance was spot on. David Corenswet's Superman felt like a perfect blend of action hero and Mr Rogers. Nicholas Hoult was great at chewing the scenery as Lex Luther. I could go on but I'll just recommend everyone go see this movie.
