I don't know how this movie can be rated anything less than 8 out of 10. Everything was so well done, even with a plot that's "been done".
First props goes to the superb character delivery by each of the actors. I never would have thought Chris Evans would be a convincing bad guy, but man did he potray 'psycho' so well. And I also didn't think it was possible to fall any more in love with Ryan Gosling. I am a sucker for a protagonist who would kill for the ones they love, however unexpected the bond may be. But his character's ability to fight through pain (an unfortunate biproduct of an unspeakable upbringing) without uttering anything more than a grunt was gut wrenching but a blessing to get him through what he needed to for his mission. Seriously strong in every meaning.
Even the choreography in the fight scenes was thrilling. Fresh and well directed - my favourite was Ana de Armad vs the sexy Tamil assassin. Pure strength, agility, discipline and speed. I think Ana's character was my favourite, also strong in every meaning and very intelligent.
The story is chaotic yet enthralling, any overkill just added to the vibe. My experience: from the beginning I was first intrigued, then captivated and then absolutely invested. I cannot wait for the sequel and hope to see some full on vengence
