So it's a decent little show to watch when there's nothing else to really watch. However, after researching reviews of some of the motels that were 'rescued' most of them didn't follow up with any sort of renovations after the show aired. I can tell you as a regular person most of the 'blueprint' she gives them isn't easy to follow for someone with little to no experience doing renovations. I'm not in any sort of industry related to repairs, renovations etc. So if it were me I would like an actual plan of action as far as revamping the rooms that is more simple and easy to follow, the people who applied for the show were super lost already, now they had someone come in, do a bunch of complex and DIY stuff, people building them custom cabinets etc the owners most likely won't be capable to replicate due to lack of expertise in those areas. Side note: Why does she paint literally everything some shade of green?!?!? There are other colors js.

So the story itself had great potential. Many historical errors but aside from that the scenery is lovely. Some things are just really odd though, like the fact all the orphans on the train basically have dirt covering their faces for like their entire journeys, but the caretakers are I guess allowed to clean themselves, just not the kids lol It's like a great bad movie if that makes sense.
