This book is absolutely wonderful at exploring the topic of becoming a woman and how to figure out what love is when there has never been an example in your life. It. Is. Not. Erotic. Arnold explores the costs of having sex too early and without a full understanding of what it means. Honestly, the book would serve as a warning against having sex too young because of the pain it causes. I truly wish I had this book when I was a girl because it could have helped me so much in accepting who I am and that I should never feel ashamed of being a girl. Nina learns that she does not need to be defined by her mother's harsh words and lies, and that is a powerful message that I wish I had growing up. Overall, this is a great read and I will continue to tell every woman I know to read it.
