SPOILERS I was super excited to go see this movie for the continuation of the first movie but I was fairly disappointed with it the storyline in my opinion was great phenomenal idea. I love the idea that it wasn't the grabber coming back to life to kill after finny it was about the grabber killing people prior to Finny but what got me was why is he in this random town which he successfully killed other children in but randomly just left and went to finnys town to do it again that doesn't make sense. Maybe I missed something but also it took away the direct creativity in the characters you know finny was able to hear the children on the phone and he was the only one who was able to and now Gwen can hear people on the phone and hear it ring? And how come Finney can suddenly interact with Gwen's dreams and physically interact with things in her dreams?. And Gwen's cheesy lines were awful made no sense and we're so unnecessary she answered the phone once saying "fuck you with a dinosaur dick"? That makes no sense and it wasn't even funny it just felt out of place. Almost everything felt out of place with no explanation. There is hardly no screen time for Finny. They randomly included that Finney now smoked weed. They included a random scene that obviously showed their father's temptation to drink again but did nothing else with it and it made no sense I mean congratulations he didn't drink again but what? Also since when did (I forgot his name) have a little brother??? And the random love story is odd as well nothing much to it other than throwing a random side character in obviously the actors are great because the first movie was phenomenal but I think it was a problem with the script and writing it almost made me feel like it was written and directed by a fan. The movie felt like just a bunch of clips put together with spaces in it just like well he's something interesting but wait heres something else I hope to see a 3rd movie and hopefully not such weird writing.
