I feel so disgusted that Ben Kingsley played Gandhi? Just more insensitivity and racism with brownface. I'm not even much of an advocate for Gandhi but what made the filmmakers think that they could get a white man, paint him brown, and make him an activist for Indian independence, when white people are the ones who took away India's freedom in the first place. So disappointing, you can't even call this move a product of its time because it came out in 1982 and you would expect people to know better by then.
