Not a terrible book, but a considerable disappointment.
Falls a long way short of the previous four, which I have read and reread with great pleasure.
This has unhappy stretches of turgid, monotonous, meaningless boredom - together with some really poor detail and structure.
Feels like PP either didn’t put the effort in, or no longer has the mental acuity.
