Love love love Elton John and Taron Egerton was amazing!!!! However, that being said I was disappointed in this film. It felt like more of a pity party for an extremely gifted and talented and fantastic human being than a true expression of his life. I don’t want to remember Elton John as someone with mommy and daddy issues I want to remember him for the triumph he accomplished and the music he shared in lieu of his pain. He is a true gift to us all and I don’t think this film did him any justice. The Queen Mother did not declare him Sir Elton because he was a drug addict and alcoholic at one small period of his fabulous life! Thank you Elton for your beautiful music! Skip the film.....
