Amazing sci-fi book with technically accurate details. Told from the point of view of Mark Watney, a botanist and mechanical engineer who is abandoned on Mars by his team after being presumed dead. Super interesting read, especially if you like chemistry and other life sciences. Formatted such that each chapter is an entry log from Watney himself with shifts in narration to 3rd person as Weir writes about NASA's point of view.
