i am just a casual fan of the sonic franchise, having only watched sonic boom and prime. but one thing i can immediately tell you is that the characters are WAY out of character. sonic is just miserably trying to be funny, each joke feels forced and never funny. knuckles is being portrayed as a complete fool, not the funny idiot we know and love; but a complete fool. at some points it even seems like he is looked down upon. tails... he is just a background character at this point. not even a side. the storytelling consists of forced jokes, horrible pacing, LOTS of loop holes, and unrealistic writing. a ten year old could write something with better plot on Wattpad for gods sake! in fact they should have just asked an actual writer who actually knows the characters to make the script. this movie is absolutely horrible. would not recommend. if you want to get into sonic, watch anything BUT this.
