Hands down the most logical, credible and actionable book on the business of speaking that I have read.
This is not a beginner's guide to speaking. This is a book for the emerging/established speaker who is feeling stuck and can't get that break - that's me by the way. Well no more guessing as to what you need to do. It's all spelt out within these pages.
It's scary reading at times. It's both encouraging and disheartening.
Encouraging in that speaking success is really quite wide open. You do not need to be 'famous'. The events industry works differently to how you might imagine. There is a need for less-than-famous speakers. You will be encouraged by the truth that this is wide open and you have a shot at this.
You may be disheartened when you admit to yourself that you have a lot of work ahead of you, that you have to earn the right to have a shot at this. The structure and framework is clearly laid out for you so the next steps are yours to take.
I give this book 5 out of 5. It oozes credibility from the authors. It delivers on the title. It doesn't have fluff and filler. The decades of experience that have been distilled down into these pages for your to benefit from are a gift.
