this movie feels like it was made by Dahmer apologists, the worst thing he did to a human in this movie was ask a black man if his insides were the same color as his own, his killing of animals was explained away as just an interest in animal bones and later was chocked up as just interest in biology when he meets the vice president, he was shown to have a decrease in his mental health, pinning it on his friends bullying him and his family being dysfunctional. they put a comedic light in certain parts which feels wrong and at the end, it shows Steven Hicks hitch hiking, inaccurately portrays where he was going and where he was coming from, and never bothered to mention that Hicks was Dahmer's first victim, I had to look up who it was for myself. The movie shows Hicks coming from a concert and going back home to Akron, when in real life, Hicks was coming from Akron and was headed to a concert when he was picked up, the movie does, however, show that Dahmer picked him up with the promise of alcohol, getting that part right. but Hicks gets into Dahmer's car, they drive off into the distance, and the screen fades to the credits without including an after credits scene of anything explaining what happened to Steven Hicks, they also show him shirtless and attractive in a scene which seems to make him appear in a light of being this misunderstood stud hottie when that isn't who he was.
