A book I have read many times because it is just so good. A book to make you think about life and how it could be lived. Unusual story wonderfully written.

Just not quite as good as I expected. Very well written, but I found the characters somewhat tedious.

Boring. Too much tedious technology and not one sympathic character. Very, very disappointing after the enjoyable Thurday Murder Club series.

What a story! The End of the World told in a matter of fact tone by a character that really grows on you. So relevant to our modern times even though it was written in 1939. A must read.

Fabulous! All the characters are alive. Mrs Pusey is magnificent!

I love this book. I go back to it time and again. Moving portrail of a time and place that has long gone.

A book to treasure. So well written and fuĺl of acute observations of "Old New York" and the dreadful Newland Archer.

Very thought provoking and somewhat darkly amusing. The devil and witches as you have never imagined.
