I just saw Mowgli. I was excited to know that it seemed very different from the original story. But I was kind of disappointed with this version after watching it. It was a bit dark than the orignal which was a good thing :) But the animations were not upto the mark , the performances were great but the story lacked the lustre of the characters. The story dragged and the character of Sher Khan could have been a bit more evil according to me. Mowgli was depicted as a weak wolf/human , which should not have been so as he was a clever child. I would give this a 2.5/5. I have seen it in Hindi, i will watch the English version. I did not like the Hindi dubbed version as i really missed Nana Patekar and Om puri as Sher Khan and Baloo. And the role of Frieda Pinto should have been more. I wanted to see more of her relationship with Mowgli. I am really disappointed since i am huge fan of the Jungle Book and really expected a lot from Mowgli.

What will people say depicts the power the society has which alters the whole life of a teenager. A realistic movie , a must-watch. Great performances by all the actors.
