Well acted and intense. The attempt to be PC in the 16th century was misplaced with, in my view, tokenism in the use of some actors and sexuality issues. It would have been more realistic to portray the culture of the day rather than impose 21st century tolerance. The sex scenes were unnecessary in terms of their graphic nature.
