One of the worst movies I’ve ever watched— aside from the cinematography Plot was beyond ridiculous and Emma Thompson watched too much of Frances McDormand’s performance in Fargo Unfortunately I bought the movie in the hope that family And friends would enjoy watching it It was so bad that I wish I could delete it and get a refund

Saw it in 2023 and it still resonates- the music, the cast, and the story. It was like a novel you never wanted to finish reading…

Keaton both acts in and directs this neo-noir thriller, creating a film that is hauntingly suspenseful and filled with plot twists. His portrayal of Knox is layered with complexity and quiet desperation as his reality slips away. Keaton’s direction builds an atmosphere steeped in impending doom and intensified by a moody melancholic score. Knox Goes Away will stay and linger in your mind due to Keaton’s performance and direction. Highly recommend Knox Goes Away as well as Keaton’s latest film Goodrich.

Home sick getting beaten up by the latest and greatest virus with no energy—somehow found this and trusted the positive review percentages. Fantastic performances, pacing, and mood justified the ratings. I’ve never been a big Justin Timberlake fan, but he was authentic and probably gave his best performance. Ryder Allen the 9 yo playing Sam, and Sibs, Maggie, and Vivian were great. The plot might turn some people off, but trust me— worth 2 hours of your time.

I wasn’t enthusiastic about watching a disaster movie sequel and another Glen Powell movie but saw the review numbers and gave it a shot. Daisy Jones and Glenn Powell had great chemistry and Maura Tierney (Kate’s mother) and Anthony Ramos (Javi) were excellent. Thrilling action scenes and special effects, brilliant original soundtrack, and a few plot “twists” made this one better than the original. I’m very glad I bought it instead of renting it.

Still a classic, even after rewatching it 24 years later… Underrated performances by Oliver Reed (in his last performance) and the under appreciated Joaquin Phoenix (Return to Paradise and the Oscar worthy performance as Johnny Cash in Walk the Line), and Connie Nielsen. A young Russell Crowe deservedly won the Oscar as Best Actor. He may be unrecognizable now as he has probably gained 50 lbs since Gladiator but is still a great actor — watch Land of the Bad. Lastly, the music is hauntingly beautiful and stays with you as a soundtrack for wistful longing for better times…

Painfully long movie which badly needed editing—first hour and 15 minutes should have been cut to 35-40 minutes. It’s a nice story, but Wikipedia provided more background and followup —reading it could spare you 2 hours of boredom.

Overly long and ultimately unsatisfying— I was expecting great things from the reviews It would probably make a better play with a 30 minute intermission to break up the monotony of the endless courtroom testimony Definitely not gripping or unpredictable More like boring and dull without any major twists And painfully bad music
