The Christmas Pig is truly heart warming and touching novel about a boy and his beloved toy. The protagonist in the novel, Jack went to great depths to follow what he believes in. He is willing to face danger beyond imagination and save the best friend he's ever known. This book made me laugh at times and brought me to tears at the end. The moral of the book is strong with beautiful illustrations inside. The beginning was inviting and full of life and kept me engaged throughout the whole book, I couldn't put it down. The plot of the story was thorough and meaningful, there were intense points which results in the story taking an unexpected turn. The perspective of the story is attracting and extremely enchanting. It opened a whole new door for me and directed my thoughts to some of the things I've lost and where they might've went in the Land of the Lost. In general, I highly recommend this book for readers over 8 or 9.
