Marco is not for the faint-hearted, and not in a good way. The film relies excessively on brutal, over-the-top violence, making it more disturbing than entertaining. Rather than using action to enhance the story, it bombards viewers with relentless bloodshed, gruesome torture scenes, and unsettling visuals that feel unnecessary.
What makes it worse is the lack of emotional depthโcharacters exist only to fight, kill, or suffer, with no real substance behind their actions. The filmโs attempt to be "gritty" comes off as needlessly sadistic, making it a difficult watch even for fans of action films. Instead of thrill and excitement, it leaves you with discomfort and exhaustion. If you're looking for a well-balanced action thriller, this is not the one.
