I had Laurence Jeffery as my philosophy professor, easily one of there worst professors AND authors I have ever met. Aside of the many grammatical and spelling mistakes littered throughout this book, the content inside is just a big nothing burger. Putting the book aside, I'd like to address how much of a failure of a philosopher this man is. One day in class he was "lecturing" on different philosophers' beliefs on religion. Laurence picked out a female student and asked about her beliefs on religion, which the woman responded that she wasn't comfortable discussing her religious views to the class. When Laurence heard this, he quickly reacted with verbal harassment by comparing her to "Ted Bundy." This treatment was not a one time instance, as he regularly verbally degraded and harassed me and my fellow classmates. I can also assume that the majority of the book's sales are from his students as he would pressure us into buying this insult to literature by stating "it is mandatory for the course." I have my own stories of altercations that I've had with Laurence that I will not be sharing as they are rather personal. Please do not support this individual by ANY means and do not waste your money on this mess of a book. Before I end this review I'd like to clarify I passed this class with an A so do not take this review as a frustrated-failed student.
