It angers me how much these movies are misunderstood. People assume that these are nonsensical popcorn flicks but that is not the case. The director inteds to trick you into believing that, but if you actually think in depth you will see that these movies do make sense. When Alice loses her powers in Afterlife, it is clear that some of her powers still remain and that it might need an extra "antivirus" dose to fully exterminate her powers as seen in the end of Retribution although her pupils dilate (there is no effect on wesker when that happens). The same visuals for the T-cell attackers as seen in Afterlife are also seen in Retribution proving that this is not the T-virus being injected back into Alice. People hate how unrealistic and fake looking Retribution is but little do they know that the movie is grounded in hyper-realism and the reason why everything is fake looking is because they are in false enviroments/simulations. People complained that Afterlife and Retribution used too much slo-motion but, as soon as The Final Chapter is released, which uses fast paced editing; it is ruined by reviewers and critics, you cannot win against biasd eyes. I must admit that the fast paced editing makes it hard to see whats going on but the director listend to the critiqes of the last two movies and I respect the creative desicion. The Final Chapters editing is inspired by fast paced comic book style; every movement, action and punch is supposed to be felt. The Final Chapter is a nice end to the series even though there were issues with returning characters from Retribution. The hate from these movies are rooted in sexism and constant misinterpretations from hardcore game fans that want to see a story that was already established in the games.
