I haven’t played Minecraft in years, yet I caught every reference made, every soundtrack, and loved the new additions to the game via crafting, mobs, and abilities. If anything the game needs to add everything seen in the movie into the game.
Normally I disapprove of subplots, as they take away from the main story, yet the one in this movie is so incredibly done. It’s just short enough to keep you thinking about it, and it genuinely leaves you wondering how it will be carried out. It concludes with an exceptional and sub-satirical performance in the credits just allows me to confidently say that every other Hollywood-based movie should follow in its footsteps, as it executed the perfect subplot sequence.
I could talk about every minute facet of the film, yet it would serve no better than just telling you to watch the film yourself. I’m watching this movie again tomorrow, and I will surely write a longer review after I have witnessed the pixelated greatness again.
