People who like a true regency novel or film, appreciates the purity of the love expressed. The art of the language exchanged. And the ostentatious wonder of the era displayed. Visually the movie was OK. However, the modern take of this classic Jane Austen tale unfortunately came across boring and was found wanting. And while, yes it provides the elements to satisfy the tastes of a romantic, it doesn't quite make the mark for a regency romantic. If you have 2 hours to spare and want to watch a clean romance then its not a bad film to fill up your time, but it really doesn't measure up with its predecessors.
