I must say, "I'm Thinking of Ending Things" is likely the worst film I've ever watched. Kaufman seems to embrace what I can only imagine is his admiration for David Lynch in the worst possible way, while succeeding to have zero relatable plot, having little to no relatable interactions between the characters, and finally having no resolution or explanation for any of it. It's like being in a long car ride as a kid wondering when you'll get to where you're going and just never arriving. At the end, you find yourself staring at your screen asking the question, 'why?' How someone can go from "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" to this, I do not know.
