Some of the finest ensemble acting I have seen this year. This dark, brooding period piece about suppression of one's true self is surprising in its honesty and unflinching in its portrayal of many of our themes found in our "westerns." Benedict Cumberbatch is amazing as a cowboy hiding in plain sight and the dynamics between him, Kirsten Dunst, Kodi SMit-McPhee, and Jesse Plemons speaks volumes of the skill sets in the acting in this incredible film. Thank you Netflix for your vision.
