Strong casting led by Livingston (who shines in this role) as a likeable misanthrope who fines the way to generally do the noble/right thing as he sorts his own life out. An unlikely recovery group leader who is rarely a font of positivity but in nevertheless extremely good at what he does because he is both relatable on a certain level that everyone can in part identify with his outlook. Insightful comedy-drama where the real balances of struggle and getting by with the occasional borderline absurd character or situation. Probably will strike a chord strongest with an audience with more life experience to understand the, at times subtle nuances, references and complexities of even on the surface minor life actions. Great cast and writing.
