I've read the books and I think the series does then justice. The only think the movie does better is the scene where Josephine's house is blown of the cliff. And to those who say they don't enjoy the narrator, it is exactly like that in the books. And to those who say it doesn't evoke emotions, were you not even a little upset when the librarian fell into the lion pit. I think the series also manages to keep a sense of mystery even better than the books. Love this series, definitely recommend especially with a few adult quotes in there. Land ho anyone?
