Everyone is complaining about this being a “beat em up game” and “not a prequel” and “not a Zelda game” wah wah wah. Hyrule Warriors is a Dynasty Warriors game with a Zelda skin, and IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN. If this is a surprise to you, you are a god damn idiot. Valid complaint is the absence of control options, which is unfortunate, but does NOT make the game “literally unplayable”. Either wait to see if they patch it, or suck it up and learn the new controls you adult babies. The next complaint is the story and how it’s not a BotW prequel. Age of Calamity is as canon to BotW as the first game was to Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, and all other Zelda games. It’s not and never was. Hyrule Warriors is a non-canon side series and has always been that way. Anyone not knowing this did not do their due diligence in researching what this game is about and has absolutely no right to complain. Now, if you can get past minor flaws and aren’t a full grown child, get this game.
