Reading the Author's telling of Hook's transformation, and the catalysts that set it off was an incredible little journey that my imagination needed. This is the dark telling of the Pan Fairytale that we always needed, as the original book left alot of people questioning Pan's intentions. The book starts off with a kick and then begins slowly prepping Hook for the man he is to become, (How he learns his unique fighting styles, how smart he really is, and that he wasn't always the scary pirate we know him as!) and ends in a way that leaves you craving more (Glad there is another book!). I really dont want to say too much because I don't want to spoil anything, but if you like the Peter Pan story, the movie Hook, hell..even the animated series from back in the day with hook and his goofy white hair..then you'll LOVE this. I am very glad I grabbed this book from this very talented author!
