As someone who’s been playing Minecraft since 2014, I really enjoyed this movie. I was skeptical at first when they announced that it was going to be live action. But after watching the movie, I think it was the right decision. I don’t think an animated movie would have done it justice, especially with how the plot is written. I’d like to remind everyone that this movie was meant to represent Minecraft. A game that is only bounded by your imagination. No rules to follow. And when you watch this movie, don’t expect a masterpiece, just like how you wouldn’t expect a masterpiece when joining your friend’s world. If you truly know what Minecraft is, expect to have fun and laugh. For anyone who reviewed this less than a 4 (8/10 etc.), was either not the intention audience, or was blinded by their strict expectations and high standards for this movie. TLDR: Movies aren’t for everyone, and many people are strict when rating movies. If you truly know what Minecraft is, and what it means to everyone who plays it. You will enjoy A Minecraft Movie. Also, watch the movie with friends. There’s a reason they added multiplayer to Minecraft. 5/5 Stars
