Twisted Bambi

Finally feels like an assasin game again. The stealth and parkour have been massively improved imo especially over mirage which I couldn't even finish as I just didn't enjoy it. Playing in immersive mode is very fun and dare I say, immersive The game looks beautiful, the movement feels smooth, the combat is fun with all the bloody finishers you'd hope for The guidance off exploration has been overhauled and I am really enjoying it so far. The knowledge system so far feels rewarding for me as I enjoy exploring The scout system at first feels a little restrictive but you can upgrade it pretty early if you loot castles so overall I don't mind it The story so far is brilliant, entertaining and full of emotion and I am genuinely looking forward to playing the game after work most days which for me says a lot!

1 star because I genuinely just don't want to finish it. Glad I had ubisoft+ and didn't pay full price to be honest. I can see what they tried to do, returning to a more stealth focused original ac style but they took mostly the worst parts and none of what made the original games special. Why they thought bringing back forced specific climbing places after valhalla where you could climb pretty much anything anywhere and even odyssey which had far more climbing freedom. It just makes no sense, like I can climb a flat brick building using my fingertips on little jutted out bricks but not a natural rock wall with huge crevices? 🤣😭 On hard difficulty I didn't find this satisfying or a fun challenge like other titles in the series. I just found it clunky and frustrating 😑 Here's hoping Shadows is better 🙏🏼
