I was excited to see an Asian movie with a female lead. After giving it 30 minutes I was sadly mistaken. The female lead (Masumi) was not convincing in her portrayal as a Yakuza princess. She was not captivating or interesting. Just bland. It seem like she was just reading her lines and not putting much effort into it. Like other reviews why did they have someone in her 30s playing a 21? The fight scene was also off. Seem like she practices the same day then shot the scene. Saving grace was Jonathan Meyers. His character was intense and well done. But even he can't save this film. The movie would have been better with another female lead. The plot was good. All the other characters were decent but when the lead can't carry the plot it ruins the film.
