Overdramatised, squeamishly soppy script, silly storyline, ridiculously pompous crap 💩 Glorifying King Louis XIV as the greatest French King in history? What rubbish. Fine acting cast, but they couldn’t elevate the film out of its soap opera misery. Truly embarrassing. Not as cringy as the musical film Le Miserables with Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe, but close.

Understated, small budget Indie film with a lot going for it. Some captivating cinematography especially the on the road scenes, mostly shot with a hand held camera. Simple but credible storytelling about the harsh treatment of Native Americans by government authorities. The slower pace may put off some viewers but there was some nice tension to keep you interested in the main character’s pursuit of personal justice and freedom. If you’re expecting car chases and things that get blown up, this is not the film for you. Think any Clint Eastwood movie you’ve ever liked. It’s that feelings simmering just under the surface kinda vibe.
