I recently finished playing Outlast 2, and I must admit it didn't captivate me as much as the first game and its DLC did. The original game kept me in a constant state of dread, making it hard to put down. However, Outlast 2 felt repetitive, with its overuse of outdoor grassy areas causing the story to lose its grip on me. I found myself gradually disinterested in the fates of Blake and Lynn. That said, there were undeniably eerie and frightening moments, particularly in the mines and the school sections. Overall, the cult atmosphere and certain segments of the game were both impressive and strange. The sense of fear was still very strong, particularly during the chase sequences, which were heart-pounding experiences. However, I found the ending somewhat lacking and could have been better. Would I recommend this game? Yes. Would I play it again? Perhaps not. As for Outlast 1 and its DLC, I would absolutely play them again without hesitation. I'm glad to have experienced this game nonetheless. 😊

Worst game EVER. The more I played it, the angrier I became. I've never had a game make me so mad or rage like this before. 1. I don't need to engage in a boss battle every 10 mins or so especially with the "kill them all" that happens frequently. 2. I want to be able to explore the areas. However you're not able to do that because every second the zombies are spawning from God knows where and chasing after you all the damn time. 3. Do the zombies really need to be given hulk-like strength? 4. You want to have fun in a game. Not feel like it's a damn chore or that it's on extra hard mode. There's no difficulty setting, why?????? All in all, I adored the graphics, each of the areas were awesome, it never got "worse" as it progressed, the variety of weapons were cool and the gore was awesome. The story was good enough for me. However, I don't see myself replaying the game ever again due to the lack of difficulty settings, the actual game play of killing the zombies as well as the other 4 things I mentioned above. Its not worth it and there are better zombie games out there that are actually fun and more fulfilling. It could have been a great game, but they messed up with a lot of things in my opinion.
