Disagree with all the other reviews. I was gripped from the start - it's slow paced but the story is intriguing, the acting is great and there are loads of beautiful shots. Only disappointment was the last 10 minutes, but decide for yourself.
If you're looking for something safe, uncontroversial and direct, like a lot of BBC's shows, avoid this. Otherwise, it's well worth watching because of the questions it raises.
