I was 40 minutes into the movie when I decided to see what others had to say and I was not surprised. I love horror movies, particularly slashers. I am a Huge fan of Friday the 13th and Halloween. Also a fan of good overcoming evil, but there is no good here. I love horror, but I hate torture and gore. Is the camera following the killer original? Absolutely. But spending more than half the movie with the camera to the killer's back taking a seemingly endless stroll through the woods with the leaves crunching beneath his feet isn't entertaining, no matter what the genre. There's no character development, in fact you don't even know who the characters are. There's no good overcoming evil, there's just blood, gore and evil.

I am a writer and a horror movie fanatic. What I think a lot of people may be missing while watching is that there are two main characters. There is the female protagonist - the heroine - and then there is the house - which is a character onto itself. The cinematography is excellent, the character development is amazing and does it get any more frightening than the lights turning on and off in a room you aren't in? Brilliant!
