This movie was so bad it inspired me to write my first-ever movie review, and honestly, I’m baffled by the praise it’s receiving. While some reviewers seem captivated by Megan Fox (or the concept), the execution leaves so much to be desired.
Set in a dystopian world where lifelike AI is on the rise, the story centers on a wife who can’t even access an artificial heart, despite the supposedly advanced technology. Meanwhile, her husband is out getting drunk with his buddies, behaving like an irresponsible teenager with a bottle of alcohol in the car. The subplot involving his coworker at the construction site feels completely pointless, adding nothing of value to the narrative.
While some viewers might be willing to overlook the massive plot holes and inconsistencies, it’s hard to ignore how incoherent and poorly thought-out the story truly is. For me, this film didn’t just fall short—it missed the mark entirely. If you’re expecting a thought-provoking exploration of AI or dystopian themes, look elsewhere.
